    Breaking: --pattern is gone. Scope index/search by piping a file list (git ls-files, git diff --name-only, fd, grep -l); with no pipe the whole directory is indexed minus configured excludes.

    Also: openIndex library API (paths[], cwd, embedder injection), --no-reconciliation accepted alongside --no-reconcile, usage errors instead of stack traces on unknown flags.

    Pre-1.0: breaking changes bump the minor.
